Christmas in Pictures

Well, I tried to get pictures this year! There were 22 of 35 of the family at Amy & Bryan's house this year for Christmas. It seems as though I got pictures of at least 20 of the 22 - maybe someone else has more pictures to post!

Casey - Renee, Joe (not pictured) - Hellen - Jade - Joshua - Jacob, Amy - Bryan - Kelly - Abby - Maddy, Anne - Mark - Zachary - Kyle - Catherine - William, Molly - Steve (not pictured) - Andrew - Elizabeth.

My twins holding Joe's twins!! Catherine with Jacob, Kyle with Joshua!

Kyle and the boys - could it be that Kyle's hair is really shorter than Joshua & Jacob's hair?

Who is that? Must be William Ninja Boy with Joshua and Jacob!

Casey and Andrew, both who refuse to smile for the camera!

Zachary, Abby and Bryan

Amy, Renee and Anne - usually there's a picture of Amy, Anne and Molly, but I guess we forgot to do that this year! Oops!

Catherine - ???? - Hellen

Time for a few Christmas gifts!

And finally - I told Joe & Hellen that Jacob did indeed have his pacifier after he was in his car seat and no one believed me. Well, here's my proof!! Don't know where the pacifier went after this picture - maybe Jacob is going to be a magician when he grows!!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!

Aunt Molly & Madeline

Second Cousins Zachary and Liam - who really cares about the second part????

Liam opening his very first Christmas Present ever - of course, from his GREAT Aunt Anne

Andrew - "I hate pictures!" Molly may have to pay for the copy right for this one - it's a great picture of her first born!!

Jade - she really enjoyed her peppermint sticks!!

No pictures of the rest of the gang that was there - maybe someone else has pictures to post!!

Great evening - once again

For all that attended the party on the 19th, you already know what a wonderful time we had. Little Liam is adorable and so are Josh & Huck, I mean Jacob. If you were there you understand the meaning of Huck; if not you will never get it. Had to be there. Those 3 boys are so good.

Food good, family great, missed the rest that could not make it.

Wishing all a Merry Christmas. 3 days to go. Where did the year go?

Another Belated letter. Will they ever end?

Happy belated anniversary Anne & Mark. Short and sweet, just like me!

Really late belated birthday wishes to Kyle & Catherine

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry to Kyle & Catherine. Just about everyone else had a belated or early birthday wishes for their birthday on the blog. You two should also.

Wishing both of you the best on your birthday - or guess I should say I wished you both the best on your birthday. Hope whatever your mom got you was something you wanted, not something she thought you needed.

Now time to go type a belated anniversary blog to your mom & dad.

Too Cold too wet too windy

Not into the cold wet windy weather. This morning it was 56. Tomorrow - 25. Are you kidding me. Only a few flakes coming down today but not sticking unless you are at Perfect North which if you read facebook you would know that Katy is not. She is not very happy either. Something about it being opening day and she is missing it. Sorry Katy. I'm glad it is only snowing there and not outside my front door.

Work Stinks!

Being on vacation last week was GREAT! I am not sure I will be able to make it the whole week at work. Getting up at 6 a.m. is for the birds.

Do we have a very rich relative that could give me money to cover all my expenses for the rest of my life so I can tell work to shove it?????

A Wonderful Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

First off, I need to thank Amy & Bryan for a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch. It was great!! I hope that Rosie enjoyed her treat.

Saw over half the family today - Joe, Hellen, Jade, Josh & Jacob. Sorry they could not come to Amy's but glad they stayed home since the kids were sick. Joe - Andrew needs to thank you for the mac-n-cheese. If not for that, he would not have eaten at Amy's. I think he had 1/2 the bowl.

Pete was hanging around also. Angie was missed. Don't worry, he ate good and maybe only gained 4 pounds back.

Amy & Bryan, it was at their house so I better have seen them. I even brought Maddie back. Sorry Kelly & Abby, she had to come back sometime. Rosie, see when you are good they will give you food. You don't have to eat everything in sight.

Anne, Mark, Zachary, Kyle, Catherine & William were also around. They could not leave till I left since I was behind them. Sorry, it takes a while for all of us to get moving to the next stop.

No Tony, Teresa, Patrick or Allison - MAYBE next year.....
No Hans, Edie, Nathan, Adam, Emily, Katy or Liam BUT Casey & Renee were they. It was great seeing them. I'll have to check on facebook to see if we made a Renee post.

Like I said, we had a wonderful time with the family. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Doesn't she look pretty!

All dressed up and no where to go? Maybe she'll grace us with her presence on this blog that she created and give us the whole story!!

Halloween 2009

Elizabeth as a Wii controller.

OHHS Homecoming Dance 2009

2 boys and 6 girls. You know all the other guys at the dance were jealous of Andrew & Austin.

Danato, Austin, Stacey & Andrew. OHHS Homecoming 2009.

Andrew's date is Stacey.

Speech Class (or Compettions Have) Has A Raleigh Fun Friend

William - goes to speech classes.
Zachary - goes to speech competitions.

Guess Zachary would not want to help his baby brother. That would break at least half the sibling laws.

Hope William is doing good and enjoying the classes. Zachary - good job and congrats!

Kyle, hope you do well on your first job. Drums, really? Girls dig guys who play the bass. Just ask your Uncle Tony.

Catherine or should I call you Basketball Queen. I want to come watch you play. The way you beat up on your Uncles and cousin last Easter, you should have no problem playing with girls your age.

SomeChildrenHaveAwfulRottenFrontFaces

Forgot to mention that Kyle & Catherine are spending all of their parents money getting braces.

Of course, their dentist is really happy!

SoCanHoffmanAndrewReallyFinallyFinish

Finally finish dancing that is - I'm still waiting on the news of how the homecoming dance went - is it tomorrow yet??

Yes, Catherine, Kyle and William all had the "F"ine Flu as William so named it - can you guess why he's going to Speech Therapy??

Currently it's me - Mom - who is sick - if I cut my head off I'd feel much better!!

This part of the family has been busy busy busy. Zachary went to Nashville last weekend for a Speech & Drama Competition - came in 1st Place for Public Speaking,
1st Place for Group Interpretation and 3rd place for Duo Acting!! The team came in
1st Place overall!!

Kyle is starting a newspaper route on Thursday of this week - he's trying to earn enough money to buy a drum set! He has been raking leaves in the neighborhood, but decieded to try the paper route and see what happens.

Catherine finished volleyball season on a Tuesday and started Basketball on a Friday - the fun never ends!!

William has been busy catching up with Spiderman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles while I have been not feeling well. His most favorite pasttime of all though is making his "K"issmas list for Santa - I don't think we have enough paper!

Uncle Bub

Uncle Bub stopped by his favorite nieces house this evening. I could say that he stopped just to say hi - but that would be a lie.

Are you all sitting down, if not, you may want to. Here is the real reason. Uncle Bub gave us his two passes to the Oak Hills High School game this Friday. They are playing Colerain and he figures OHHS will get their butts kick. He will be attending the Elder game who is playing West Hi - as if that will be a game. I thought it was so cool of him to give us the OHHS tickets. THANKS UNCLE BUB!!!!! You and Uncle Jim are the best Scharff Uncle's around.

One more VERY IMPORTANAT Reason Uncle Bub stopped by. Does anyone want to guess. Anyone???? He brought over some GRANDMA UNCLE BUB COOKIES!!!!! I know, you are all jealous. Told you I was his favorite!

Love you all and happy cookie eating to all that have some. I'm sure ours will be gone before you can make it to my house to eat any.

THANKS AGAIN UNCLE BUB!

Homecoming

It is Saturday, October 24 and Andrew is attending his first high school dance - Oak Hills Homecoming 2009. Hope he enjoys himself, dances a lot, and stays safe. Will update tomorrow on how the dance was.

Late anniversary wishes: Happy Anniversary Hans & Edie.

CORRECTION

It has been brought to my attention just how tall Abby is:

5 feet 4 inches.

This means she is 5 inches taller than me.

Steve Catherine Hans Angie Rusty Francis Family

Glad you are all keeping up with what is going on. You guys talk and type so much it is hard for me to keep up. Here is my part AGAIN!

Saw Angie on Friday. She looks HOT! Not sure I could stay on the South Beach diet, but am pretty sure I could stay on a south beach for a pretty long time. Keep up the good work Angie!

Amy had her carpal tunnel operated on Monday. Talked with her today. She said her left wrist feels pretty good. Hoping her right wrist starts feeling better soon and she can return to work.

Forgot to mention a few people in the previous email. Wanted to say I was sorry for that. Kelly was one of them. I've heard she is doing very well in tennis. She has even made tennis player of the week - or something like that. Congrats Kelly.

I think I also forgot to mention Abby. She is getting too old too quick. She is at least 5 feet 2 or 3 inches tall. Yes, that would be at least 4 inches taller than me. She is playing volleyball for school and it makes her extra sleepy. Keep up the good work. I need to come watch you get an ace one day.

Now Miss Maddy - she had her ear operated on. It looked pretty groteque. Maybe we can get a picture loaded on the blog for everyone to see. She is doing very good.

That is all for now ya all. Blog with you soon!

Steve Cooked Hams All Raw For Fun

Just wondering if anyone is out in Scharffville. Have not seen a new posting in a while. Maybe Tony's cake burned the house down from all the candles. Harvey even commented that he has not heard from him. What's up with that bro?

Hans - saw him at the wedding; that should be Grandpa Hans. See Edie, Casey, Adam, Emily & Extra girly Katy on FB. Congrats on the new jobs Adam. Happy 25th anniversary next week to Hans & Edie. Is that number right? If anyone sees Nathan, tell him I said HELLO.

Joe - living the closest to him, I thought his kids would be at my house more. Guess I will need to go see them since they never come to visit their Aunt Molly. Miss you Jade bean, Joshy & Jakey.

Pete - know he is doing okay thanks to Marty at work. Angie is keeping him on a diet. He is looking good, not that he was looking bad before.

Amy - Bryan just purchased a new bed set for his family room. Hope your new couch is as comforatable as your old one I am sitting on right now. Happy 2? anniversary to you and Bryan. It is today!!!

Tony - already mentioned Mr. Baltimore - THE BIG LOSERS!!! Beat he dusted off the old Boomer jersey to wear to work following that game. GO BENGALS! I think your whole family may need new shirts to wear on football Sundays. Teresa, Patrick & Allison will look good in orange & black.

Anne - talk to her more on FB than over the phone. Staying away from her, Mark, Zachary, Kyle, Catherine & William. Catherine had Swine flu. Instead of calling it H1N1, it is going to be U1K1. All her other kids & hubby I think are okay. Haven't heard; guess I should check OR one of them could write back and let us know.

Me - my portion of the Scharff-Hoffman family is doing good. Happy 15th anniversary to Steve & I last week. Andrew & Elizabeth are both doing well in school and in driving us nuts. Good thing was that I was told today that I have really good kids. Wonder if Mom was ever told that? Out of 7, 1 of us had to be good.

Love ya all - Your favorite baby sister - BRAT!

Sometimes Carrots Have A Rotten Flavor Forever

So, I'm with Molly - where did the summer go??

Hey, for the record, we haven't had any visitors from PA for two years now, but who's counting!! Maybe they'll come next year!!

Anyway, Happy Birthday (almost) big brother!! Yeah, we do miss you!! You could at least post some new pictures for us!!

Have a great day!!

She Can Have A Real Freaky Fall

Okay - so that stunk as a title but that is what you get at 10:00 PM on a Monday. Also, this is for Tony if he even checks this thing anymore. DON'T READ TILL WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19.

Happy Birthday Brother! Miss you!!! Enjoy your day, but please do not go out and buy yourself a new car. But if you do, at least trade in one of your clunkers. That is a car - not a member of your family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Public Service Announcement

I am blogging, quite comically, the saga of our vacation in Destin. You can read, and even comment!, if you want.

But first you have to follow my blog. *hint, hint*

Anne's Birthday

I cannot believe that it is now August 5 - ANNE'S BIRTHDAY!! Happy birthday Anne. Also, this is posted on the corrected date - not my normal 1 day behind.

I would like to know what happen to the summer. On August 20th my kids will have to go back to school. I cannot say that I am sad about that, but I know they will be.

We are watching Rosie this week while her family is on vacation. Rosie is a lot cuter at her house then she is at mine. She has decided that Andrew is her buddy. I think she likes him best because when she goes into his room she always comes out with something new in her mouth like socks and soap. She really is a good dog - WHEN ARE THEY COMING HOME?????

Catch you all on Tony's birthday! Maybe by then someone else will have written a new blog.

San Antonio, Texas

In so many days I will be in Texas! It is Speech and Drama nationals! I have spent the last so many days with a video camera pressed against my ear; in hope to memorize my dramatic interpretation piece! Hopefully all the practice pays off!

Katy's Graduation Party

Well Hans & Edie can finally say they have no more children in high school! Katy has officially graduated and is now on her way to IU!

As we arrived at the party - Katy was not too happy as she was still getting ready and cut her leg shaving - the cousins were very happy to finally meet baby Liam.
William would probably sit and hold the baby all day, except

Kyle would be fighting for his turn. Kyle loves all those little baby parts, especially the cute baby feet!!

Poor Liam is probably thinking - who are all these people that keep passing me around.

Catherine is happy to hold the baby for a minute, but is more excited to go swimming since we've had nothing but rain for the past three days.

Even Uncle Mark got to hold baby Liam, although I don't recall getting to actually hold him, unless you count handing him off to someone else!

Here's maybe the only picture of Nathan for the day as he decided to disappear and never to appear again!

Apparently there was a small incident at graduation so Katy had to get a crease in her hair on Saturday to get a picture with Mom & Dad in her cap and gown. Hopefully the pictures I took with the real film camera turn out better - there's probably a ton of them since I thought it was digital!!

Katy was not too happy either when she discovered 13 year old cousin Zachary had actually grown taller than her!!

The reason for the early arrival of me - Aunt Anne - was soon discovered and forgiven by Katy. Edible Arrangements for the party - Katy was very happy and actually started eating the fruit before it was even unwrapped!

The house was filled with babies, all less than six months old. Liam, Joshua & Jacob and Nick (no picture of him) were all having fun at the party.
We were especially delighted when one (or more) would decide to take a nap for a while!
This sleeping baby is Jacob.

Emily won't like this picture - but she'll get over it!

And Katy won't like this one, but I think it's beautiful and since I can't get the Indiana family to post to the blog anymore, then I can put pictures up of whatever I choose!!

Here's a rare shot of the proud parents - Hans and Edie!

William was also enjoying the pool even though it was freezing cold.

And Jade and Maddy were having fun in the sun!

Emily walked into the house just in time to have her picture taken with Abby & Zachary.

I can't remember the dogs names, but figured they deserved a picture also!

Gifts are always fun and at last count, Katy had received a small fortune in cold hard cash, candy and an empty box!!

Gifts aren't as much fun as swinging with your cousins. Kelly, Kyle, holding Jacob, Jade, Elizabeth (when did she arrive) and Maddy are having fun hanging out together!

Hellen is enjoying the music and a moment without a baby in her arms.

Cornhole is always a hit at the graduation parties! Casey thinks that his tongue has something to do with how well he throws the bag!!

Andrew must be texting Casey some pointers as Uncle Bryan and cousin Dan laugh along!

Sweet baby Joshua was having a tough day - I don't think he enjoys the crowds of people, but Aunt Amy convinced him to just take a break!

Kelly finally gets a turn to hold Jacob - she'll probably steal this picture for her personal blog!!

Now, this is a better picture of Emily and Liam, I think she'll like this one better!!

On the way home, we saw two deer, but only got a picture of this doe!!

The excitement of the party and swimming all day was too much for William - he fell asleep before 8 pm and slept straight through til 8 am Sunday morning. There was no way he was going to make it til 4 am like cousin Adam, who didn't get in any of my pictures!

There were many more people and much more activity at the party than these pictures can show!
I should also mention that Adam is the first person in his family to graduate from college!! Congratulations to him also!!!

All in all, it was a fun day - let's do it again - before Katy graduates from college.
